KEEPING ourselves in the presence of God is a fundamental skill we must develop as Christians.
We often forget that God is always with us, He is omnipresent and omniscient. Meaning He is everywhere and knows our past, present, and future. He is inside us, giving us life via the Holy Spirit. Who has joined with our own spirit to bring it back to life.
Let’s not be practical atheists, forgetting God’s presence whenever it is convenient for us. Rather, let’s strive to be continually basking in His presence. Let us continually nurture from His life and love. Which is a foretaste of the glory and blessings we will obtain after our earthly deaths.
Following is a prayer that is structured to remind us of our need for union with the Trinity. As well as our need for His help to walk in our paths of conversion.
Prayer to Keep the Presence of God
Lord, God Almighty, you have brought us safely to this day. Defend us today by your mighty power, so that we may not fall into any sin, and that all our words may so proceed and all our thoughts and actions be so directed as to be always just in your sight. Through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
