ON September 29, 2016, while searching for true freedom, I found the Road to Righteousness. I had just renewed my baptismal vows through the Door of Mercy of my local temple. As I did this, I could feel how God cleansed my soul and the state of purity in which I found myself. In contrast to this happiness, I also felt apprehension, since I wanted this state to last forever. But I knew that in my frailty, I would eventually fall again.
I had been genuinely trying to follow the Lord and obtain true freedom and fulfillment for two years. However, I was still struggling with sin in my life. So, in my heart, I asked the Lord to help me to live a life of purity, to be able to find true freedom and fulfillment, and never to lose that level of union with Him that I was feeling at that moment.
Finding Guidance
That September night, I went to give out food to the homeless in my hometown of Grecia, Costa Rica. While there, I met a lady named Marta Alpizar. She is a Spirit-filled woman who has a lifetime of experience of walking with the Lord. We both felt we had to talk to each other and so began a conversation that would change my life. During our discussion, Marta was inspired by the Holy Spirit to teach me a lesson, which she had received from the Lord several decades before, to allow me to walk it and so be able to show it to others.
The Road to Righteousness
The lesson Marta taught me is the Road to Righteousness. The Road is a guide outlining a clear Christian path of conversion, which I am using as the basis for this Blog. In the articles, I will be providing the exercises and teachings that I have learned as I walk this path and will provide updates as I continue to advance along the Road to Righteousness.
I can testify that finding the Road to Righteousness has been one of the greatest graces the Lord has bestowed upon me.
I pray that the Lord may provide you with even greater blessings than what I have already seen in my life.
